A combined, a downhill and a super-G have been rescheduled in the French resort after the original events were cancelled due to poor snow conditions
Val-d’Isère (France) (AFP) - Two women’s World Cup speed events originally scheduled for Val d’Isere will be raced in Val Gardena in Italy on December 18-19, the International Ski Federation (FIS) announced on Thursday.
A combined, a downhill and a super-G scheduled to for December 14-16 in the French resort were cancelled on Monday because of poor snow conditions on the OK (Oreiller-Killy) piste.
The downhill will now be raced on December 18 in Val Gardena with the super-G the next day.
That means a short turnaround for women who also race in the “technical” events.
Courchevel in France hosts a giant slalom on December 21 and a slalom the next day.
This weekend sees the men racing a giant slalom and a slalom in Val d’Isere, albeit on a different course, the Face de Bellevarde.
