Russia's Mirra Andreeva eased into her second WTA final of the season

Linz (Austria) (AFP) - Russian top seed Mirra Andreeva eased into her second WTA final of the year with a straight-sets victory over Romania’s Elena-Gabriela Ruse in Linz on Saturday.

The 18-year-old won 6-4, 6-1 in Austria to set up a Sunday meeting with home favourite Anastasia Potapova.

World number 10 Andreeva has enjoyed a welcome return to form this week after failing to reach a semi-final since her title triumph at an Australian Open warm-up event in Adelaide in January.

Andreeva has a 2-1 winning record against Potapova, taking their last two meetings in straight sets.

Russian-born Potapova, who switched allegiance to Austria at the start of the season, saw off Croatian Donna Vekic 6-4, 6-2 in the second semi-final.
