Switzerland's Marco Odermatt and his rivals for the super-G will have to wait until Sunday after heavy snow at Courchevel

Courchevel (France) (AFP) - The men’s world cup super-G event at Courchevel has been postponed due to heavy snow and fog, the International Ski Federation said on Saturday.

The race has been rescheduled for Sunday and is the penultimate event before the final super-G race in Norway in two weeks time.

Marco Odermatt leads the standings with 425 points Austria’s Vincent Kriechmayer is second at 58pts with a tight pack close behind him including Franjo Von Allmen, who won three gold medals at the Milan-Cortina Olympics.

The 28-year-old Odermatt won two Olympic silvers and bronze in Bormio last month missing out on the golds, but won the overall World Cup title for a fifth consecutive time on Friday.
