Zoe Hobbs won the women's 100m at the Commonwealth Games

Glasgow (AFP) - Zoe Hobbs produced a remarkable run from lane seven to win the women’s 100m final at the Commonwealth Games for New Zealand.

Hobbs, a 60m specialist, exploded out the blocks to win in 10.93 seconds in sodden conditions in Glasgow.

England’s Amy Hunt left herself with too much to do from a slow start, but still took silver ahead of Australia’s Torrie Lewis in bronze as the top three all ran in under 11 seconds.
